Art print of Bruce's Stone, Glentrool. Bruce’s Stone is a large granite monument that overlooks Loch Trool in the Galloway Forest Park. Erected in 1929 by the newly formed Scottish Nationalist Party, the stone was built to commemorate the victory of Robert the Bruce over the English in one of the first battles in the Scottish Wars of Independence.
Sitting at the start of the path up the Merrick, the stone provides panoramic views across the Galloway Hills.

As well as Bruce’s Stone, we also purchased travel posters of Devorgilla Bridge in Dumfries, Kirkcudbright Harbour, and the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse and Puffins.
We were looking for matching paintings/prints for our recently refurbished kitchen. We wanted something that would suit our modern looking decor, and colour. We also wanted something that would remind us of the wonderful times we have spent in the Dumfries and Galloway area.
We visited the galleries of Kirkcudbright, but we couldn’t quite find a matching pair that suited our needs. I then discovered Galloway Arts online, and the poster art style matched our needs perfectly. The only issue was, which ones should we choose. In the end, we ended up buying four of them from the collection.
They were delivered in a couple of working days from placing the order, and were extremely well packed. They were packed flat, not in a tube, which is much better.
We are very pleased with our purchase, and now when we are enjoying our breakfast, we can transport ourselves back into the places we love to visit in Dumfries and Galloway, with the comforting thought, that they we created by a human artist.
